The Ketogenic diet is a diet high in fat as oppose to diets high in carbohydrates that turns to sugar. The Ketogenic diet is also low in protein and very little carbs. Essentially the body uses fat in a way similar to how a baby in the womb uses fat to transform the fat into energy through a process called ketosis. This diet actually allows your body to burn off your stored fat as it turns it into energy. Remaining in a state of ketosis, not only helps reduce weight loss but help decrease blood sugar levels. This diet also helps in the battle against Alzheimer’s, Cancer, and Autism.

I’m happy with the results I got with the Ketogenic diet. The first two weeks and lost 6 pounds. It decreased my hunger because of the nutrients in the vegetables consumed. After eating a high fat breakfast which included eggs, meat (bacon), extra virgin olive oil, avocados, onions, spinach I would not be hungry or crave food for several hours.
The primary reason I did the Ketogenic diet was for weight loss and to feel lighter. I had increased energy. My food cravings were gone. I felt better and able to think clearer. I was experiencing joint pain in my shoulder and it totally disappeared. The ailments I was experiencing was made better just by drastically reducing sugars, carbs and grains in my diet.
